She was 81 and former wife of the late Mitchell C. Azar. Formerly of Sudbury and San Jose, California, she was born in Btaaboura, Lebanon February 20, 1935; the daughter of the late Shafeek Michael Jacob and Kattar Nasser Jacob. Mrs. Azar was a homemaker who loved to garden, grow flowers and cook the food of her heritage. In her former years of residence in Sudbury while raising her family, she enjoyed bowling and tennis and following the activities of her children. She was devoted to her family and although troubled with severe back pain in recent years, she loved to host a family dinner and gathering at her apartment in Marlboro every Monday evening for children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as friends. Over the years while living in California she provided loving care for her surrogate grandchild, Daniel El-Zein. In recent years she continued to care for some of her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: David Azar and his wife Ellen of Boston, Sabrina Chamness and her Husband William of New Hampshire, Don Azar of Cambridge and Sandra Azar Duckett and her husband William of Sudbury. She was the sister of Wahid Jacob and his wife Kathy of Milford, MA, William Jacob and his wife Vanessa of Douglas, MA and the late Nawal, Michael and Christo Jacob; and sister in law of Maria Jacob and Irene Robasciotti. She also leaves her grandchildren and their spouses: Shara and Ryan Buday, Jessica and Michael Curran, Jason and Jessica Sewell, Allison and Marc Khalamayzer, Elizabeth and John Rourke, Noelle and Billy Pino, Brenden and Chelsea Azar and Brett Azar, Heather Duckett, Mimi and Tristan Hoff, Katie and Brian Kelly, Matthew and Elizabeth Duckett, Ashley Duckett and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with concluding remarks at 7:00 o'clock at the Duckett - J. S. and Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury.

Family burial services will be private.

The family suggests that rather than flowers, memorial donations be made to the Cancer Society of one's choice.
